Position Summary...

Want to shape the future of omni-channel pricing at scale while driving industry-leading EDLP strategy?

The Director of Pricing Data  – Merchandise Excellence is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the long-term vision for pricing data, analytics, and capabilities across all merchandising business units. Sitting at the intersection of customer expectations, enterprise data strategy, business transformation, and technology innovation, you will lead the development of foundational data ecosystems that power Walmart’s omni-channel pricing advantage.

This role goes beyond execution—requiring enterprise-level thinking, organizational influence, and the ability to architect scalable solutions that unlock competitive differentiation. You will lead high-performing teams and cross-functional partnerships to reimagine how pricing data is structured, governed, and leveraged to deliver best-in-class customer value through EDLP.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Pricing Data – Merchandise Excellence, you will set strategic direction, influence executive decision-making, and ensure alignment between data, product, and business strategies.

What you'll do...

  • You’re a strategic visionary: You anticipate where retail, customer expectations, and pricing intelligence are headed—and translate that into a multi-year roadmap that positions Walmart ahead of the competition.
  • You’re an enterprise leader: You’ve led large-scale transformations, aligning multiple business units, product teams, and technology organizations around a unified data and analytics strategy.
  • You influence at the highest level: You build trust with senior executives and drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups through clear, compelling storytelling and business cases.
  • You architect modern data ecosystems: Deep expertise in scalable data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake), and data product design that enables high-performance, enterprise-wide analytics.
  • You turn complexity into clarity: You simplify highly complex data environments into actionable insights, scalable tools, and business-ready capabilities that drive measurable impact.
  • You develop world-class talent: You build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • You are fluent across data, product, and business: You seamlessly connect technical solutions with business value, partnering effectively with data science, engineering, merchandising, and product teams.
