Position Summary...

Join Walmart's Site Merchandising Applied AI and Tools team as we build a legendary experience for Walmart's digital customers. As part of the broader Site Merchandising organization, this position is responsible for leading the strategic evolution of AI-powered platforms and tools that transform how site merchandising operates at scale. This role will focus on one of two critical tracks: (1) Agentic Platform & Messaging — architecting the unified ACMS/MMUI workspace that powers AI-assisted merchant workflows, or (2) Creative Innovation & Visual Tech — scaling GenAI-powered visual content through Smart Creative to enable personalization at unprecedented volume and variety. Both tracks share a common mission: transitioning manual, fragmented processes into intelligent, automated experiences that reduce merchant workload, accelerate speed-to-market, and deliver exceptional customer experiences on Walmart.com. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic product leader who thrives on leveraging AI and technology to solve complex operational challenges and drive measurable business impact.

  • Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for a critical AI-powered platform within the Site Merchandising tooling ecosystem, partnering with 4ITB Product and Engineering teams to deliver capabilities that drive operational efficiency and merchant success
  • Drive platform innovation initiatives such as unifying legacy tools (Tango, Tempo) into modernized MMUI with agentic orchestration, OR scaling GenAI content generation (Smart Creative) to produce brand-standard visual assets at volume
  • Develop deep understanding of merchant workflows, pain points, and business goals to identify high-impact opportunities for AI-assisted automation, workflow simplification, and technology-enabled scale
  • Own the business case and prioritization framework for platform feature development, balancing strategic platform goals with merchant needs, operational urgencies, and cross-functional stakeholder priorities
  • Author comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that translate complex business workflows into actionable product requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution
  • Lead cross-functional discovery sessions with merchants, product teams, engineering, creative partners, and business stakeholders to validate requirements, socialize roadmaps, and build shared understanding of platform evolution
  • Partner with key stakeholders including Editorial teams, Creative teams, Site Merchants, and Business Leaders to ensure platform capabilities align with brand standards, creative workflows, and content strategy goals
  • Define and track KPIs that measure platform success including adoption rates, workflow efficiency gains (time-to-site, reduction in manual touches), content volume/quality metrics, and demonstrated ROI to inform iteration priorities
  • Implement effective change management strategies, training programs, and enablement plans to drive adoption of new platform capabilities and ensure seamless transitions from legacy workflows
  • Serve as a thought leader for AI-powered innovation within Site Merchandising, staying ahead of emerging trends in agentic systems, GenAI capabilities, and intelligent automation to identify pilots and strategic opportunities
  • Manage migration strategies and sunset timelines for legacy tools, ensuring merchants have clear communication, adequate support, and confidence in new platform capabilities throughout transitions
  • Contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce via mentorship, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing across the tooling and broader Site Merchandising organization
