Position Summary...

Senior Manager, Communications – eCommerce
Location: Bentonville, AR

As Sr. Manager, eCommerce Communications, you will support executive messaging and high-visibility storytelling that bring Walmart’s omnichannel strategy and customer experience to life. Working closely with the Group Director and communications leads, you will translate business priorities into clear, compelling narratives that equip leaders to communicate with confidence and consistency.

This role plays an important part in enabling executives across the Omni Communications team—supporting speeches, key engagements, and strategic communications. While a significant portion of the role will support the eCommerce team, the position is designed to collaborate broadly across teams and initiatives as priorities evolve.

What you'll do...

Executive Messaging & Speechwriting

• Develop speeches, keynotes, talking points, and written communications for senior leaders supporting omnichannel priorities.
• Translate complex digital commerce strategies into clear, engaging messaging for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and alignment with Walmart’s broader communications priorities.

Executive Preparation & Engagement Support

• Assist in preparing leaders for high-visibility events, panels, and industry engagements.
• Develop briefing materials and anticipate key questions to support thoughtful, confident executive participation.
• Partner closely with communications leadership to align messaging and positioning.

eCommerce Storytelling

• Help shape communications that highlight Walmart’s eCommerce growth, digital discovery, and omnichannel customer experience.
• Support storytelling that connects business strategy with how customers shop Walmart across digital and physical channels.
   

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with communications leads across Merchandising, Experience, and Wellness to ensure alignment and message consistency.
• Coordinate inputs from business partners, product teams, and communications colleagues to support integrated storytelling.
   

Messaging Tools & Enablement

• Contribute to messaging frameworks, templates, and briefing materials that support consistent executive communications across the team.
• Help strengthen communication practices that enable leaders to engage effectively with internal and external audiences.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience developing executive speeches, talking points, or high-visibility communications.
• Understanding of eCommerce, digital retail, or omnichannel customer experiences.
• Ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, engaging narratives.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working across a matrixed organization and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area. 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
