Staff, Product Manager – Remodel Phasing & Execution (Fixtures & Equipment)
Position Summary Walmart is seeking a Staff, Product Manager to drive clarity, alignment, and execution for Remodel Phasing & Execution across a rapidly growing fixtures & equipment portfolio. This role connects strategy to outcomes for initiatives spanning remodels, and special projects. Over the next five years, the portfolio is projected to scale materially, demanding disciplined phasing, ordering, execution, and inventory visibility. The role will partner horizontally across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Field Operations—regularly engaging Directors and Senior Directors—to ensure the right fixtures are at the right place at the right time, with minimal disruption to store operations. This role sits within the product organization responsible for Global Realty platforms which supports enterprise initiatives spanning U.S., Sam’s Club , and Intl markets. In this role, you will own the Realty Execution Platform (REP), which is an in-house solution designed to manage the end-to-end planning, fixture management, and execution of Walmart's store remodel projects. The role focuses on developing a flexible, weekly fixture delivery plan and creating a new 0→1 mobile experience for RPMs who manage remodels in stores. RPMs constantly receive signals from supply chain partners, contractors, and store teams that can shift timelines, and they need AI-driven recommendations to quickly adjust fixture schedules and improve planning accuracy. As the business expands into new project types, fixture phasing must adapt, while RPMs require an AI powered mobile tool to prioritize tasks, communicate with teams, and manage fixture orders and deliveries—making this an exciting time to join the team as we expand capabilities and reimagine the RPM experience. The Role at a Glance This role ensures what we order, plan, and execute remains aligned to deliver high quality store projects on time and on budget. You will improve these areas:- Recommending how to optimally order and deliver fixtures to the store using AI to proactive identify risks and how to mitigate if there are any delays.
- Deliver mobile capabilities for the remodel associate to track remodel progress, collaborate with other cross functional teams, and place orders to ensure remodels are on time and on budget.
- Ensure accuracy of fixture phasing plan that will Add on orders and post remodel fixture needs.
- Lead field driven discovery to understand remodel associates’ pain points and redesign workflows to reduce friction in phasing, ordering, and receiving.
- Gather and validate requirements for department level fixture phasing recommendations, ensuring solutions simplify the associate experience.
- Design intuitive mobile experiences (pallet scanning, receiving, notifications) grounded in journey mapping and real-world field constraints.
- Continuously analyze field feedback, user behaviors, and support signals to refine mobile and desktop tools for remodel execution.
- Own end-to-end strategy for Phasing & Execution across remodels, new stores, Spark stores, fuel stations, and special projects.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear hypotheses, measurable success metrics, and product aligned problem statements.
- Define long-term vision for AI-powered task management, mobile capabilities, and predictive flow-to-store recommendations.
- Ensure product decisions support enterprise OKRs: reducing Add on orders, eliminating post remodel fixture needs, and ordering correctly and on time.
- Build and own the roadmap for mobile receiving, proactive task management, and fixture flow orchestration across remodel operations.
- Define MVP → scale strategy for mobile capabilities, pallet scanning workflows, and closed loop tracking from supplier to store to warehouse.
- Translate research and business needs into PRDs, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs that balance technical constraints and business urgency.
- Lead rollout planning across regions, ensuring change management and operational readiness for field, supply chain, and store partners.
- Partner with Data Science to shape predictive models that identify fixture delays, inventory risks, and phasing conflicts.
- Use SQL and dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) to track KPIs, identify systemic bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Instrument mobile and platform capabilities to capture telemetry needed for measuring flow accuracy, receiving compliance, and delay mitigation.
- Translate insights into product refinements, roadmap reprioritization, and leader ready recommendations.
- Partner closely with Directors and Senior Directors across SAP Product, Indirect Supply Chain, Global Procurement, Customer Service, Lucernex, and Data Science.
- Present complex problems and tradeoffs in clear, structured narratives for leadership decision making.
- Facilitate alignment across cross functional partners on phasing logic, alert thresholds, data integrations, and rollout plans.
- Lead recurring forums that resolve execution risks, remove blockers, and align engineering and business teams on priorities.
- Collaborate with engineering to understand system architecture, data flows, WMS/ERP integrations, and technical risks across phasing and receiving capabilities.
- Define technical requirements for mobile scanning, real-time status updates, and AI-driven alerting frameworks.
- Evaluate feasibility of reverse logistics and back to inventory workflows across supply chain and warehouse systems.
- Partner with engineering on quality standards, technical debt decisions, and system readiness for scaled rollout.
- Develop deep understanding of remodel workflows, fixture sourcing, indirect supply chain operations, and warehouse management processes.
- Identify gaps and innovation opportunities across remodel planning, supplier flow, mobile execution, and logistics processes.
- Use domain knowledge to shape end-to-end closed loop visibility: supplier → store → return → back to inventory.
- Serve as a product expert across enterprise forums, advising partners on remodel specific tools, constraints, and cross domain impacts.
