Position Summary...

As an Individual Contributor you will play a role in the execution of our methodology and approach in ensuring applications built or implemented in the environment meet appropriate levels of compliance for industry, legal, governmental, risk and safety standards. Examples of compliance focus areas include but not limited to Health & Wellness, Food Safety, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Trade/Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, etc. You will collaborate with various business subject matter resources, Governance teams, and Technology teams to achieve our objectives. You will also execute our methodology in how we create and implement automated preventative/detective controls and processes that help us achieve policy compliance. 

What you'll do...

About the team:
The Global Tech Assurance team manages IT-related risks by ensuring critical technical controls operate effectively. Collaborating with business partners and governance teams, they oversee application deployment, monitoring, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The team develops automated preventative and detective controls and conducts systematic testing to maintain continuous compliance. Their work supports secure and reliable technology solutions aligned with organizational goals. Expertise in cyber risk, vulnerability assessments, governance, and security testing is essential to uphold strong risk management practices and ensure key controls perform as intended.
What you'll do:
·      Identify new or changed scope of systems that necessitate the monitoring of control health.
·      Execute approach to understand the systematic controls or critical system behavior that needs to be monitored. 
·      Work with the Controls Assurance Engineering team to integrate systems into the control health monitoring platform for assigned areas.
·      For control health anomalies detected, ensure Technical Teams resolve the issue timely and understand the root cause to mitigate the issue in the future.
·      Assess in-scope regulatory systems per methodology to gain insights into the existing operational environment that impact control health.
·      Identify and document improvement opportunities with recommended corrective action while assessing the regulatory systems.
What you'll bring:
·      Experience in assessing, designing, and implementing IT processes and controls
·      Work with Business Process Owners to identify risks mitigated by system controls.
·      Familiarity with retail and regulatory compliance systems a plus (i.e. Health & Wellness, Financial, Food Safety, etc.)
·      Exposure of data analysis and risk management a plus
·      Certified in a relevant risk field is a plus (CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, etc.)
·      Good understanding of IT regulatory standards and frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL, etc.)
·      Methodical and systematic problem-solving approach, combined with strong drive and initiative
·      Ability to work collaboratively across different teams
·      Influence technical teams to achieve desired objectives
·      Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 3years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, GSEC, CISA, CISSP, or CCSP, Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
