Join Walmart as Senior Manager, Finance – Global Tech Finance Transformation and help redefine how finance powers the world’s largest retailer. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner cross-functionally to drive the optimization of existing finance tools and lead the implementation of transformational capabilities—including the application of Generative AI—to unlock new efficiencies and elevate decision-making at scale. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Tech Finance, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and catalyst for change, ensuring our finance organization is equipped for the future. The Global Tech Finance team partners closely with Finance, Technology, and Product leaders to drive transformational change across Walmart’s global footprint. What you'll do...
- Lead and oversee cross-functional finance initiatives, driving the optimization of existing tools and the delivery of new, transformational solutions.
- Define and execute the finance transformation roadmap, identifying opportunities to apply Generative AI and automation to streamline reporting, planning, controllership, tax, claims, and other finance workflows.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Finance and Global Tech partners—both in the U.S. and internationally—serving as a go-to resource for finance transformation and guiding the organization through change.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Change Management teams to design, build, test, and launch scalable, secure finance solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Communicate progress, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines and value commitments.
- Deliver clear, impactful presentations and strategic recommendations to senior leaders, translating complex technical and financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Champion the adoption of new tools and ways of working through enablement, training, and change management, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Extensive experience in finance transformation, finance technology, or process improvement within large, complex organizations.
- Deep understanding of financial data applications and how finance tools support business outcomes.
- Experience applying advanced technologies or automation (including Generative AI) to finance functions.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive them to completion.
- Strategic mindset, with strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills—able to make complex subjects easily understood.
- Relationship-builder with a collaborative approach, comfortable working across Finance, Technology, and Product teams to align and maximize investments.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
