Position Summary
The Senior Director of Technical Program Management – Enterprise Prioritization & Strategy will serve as a key strategic partner connecting Walmart’s enterprise strategy, product portfolios, and engineering execution. This leader will drive clarity, alignment, and decision-making across Walmart’s most enterprise priorities — ensuring that priorities, tradeoffs, and value are understood and executed consistently across the organization.
Operating at the Senior Director level, this role blends strategic thinking, technical fluency, and program orchestration. The leader will partner closely with Enterprise Strategy, Segment Strategy, Global Tech, and Product leadership to create unified reporting, executive-ready narratives, and scalable decision frameworks. They will serve as the connective tissue between strategy, product and engineering, advising on platform dependencies, capacity modeling, and technical tradeoffs to elevate enterprise-level prioritization.
This position plays a central role in preparing and enabling monthly Executive Council-level forums, building standards for communication and templates, and elevating how Walmart governs its top-tier investments.

What You’ll Do
• Partner with Enterprise and Segment Strategy teams to create an integrated, cross-functional view of enterprise priorities, ensuring consistency across enterprise, segment, and team-level reporting.
• Lead the development of templates, documentation, and communication frameworks for Enterprise updates to the Executive Council, Global Leaders Meeting, and Global Product Forums.
• Craft clear, compelling narratives on product investments, engineering capacity, and expected value realization to support data-driven executive decision-making.
• Prepare and operationalize the monthly EC Check-ins, ensuring alignment, risk visibility, and structured decision pathways.
• Analyze and articulate platform dependencies, engineering tradeoffs, and cross-team impacts to strengthen enterprise prioritization and resource alignment.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to evaluate technical feasibility, identify constraints, and ensure consistent understanding of system-level implications.
• Establish program performance metrics, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms that increase visibility and transparency across initiatives.
• Drive consistency in ways of working across product and engineering teams by defining frameworks, playbooks, and communication standards that simplify complex efforts.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations on prioritization, resourcing, sequencing, and risk mitigation.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and disciplined decision-making across Strategy, Product, and Engineering.

What You’ll Bring
• 10+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, product management or strategy within large, matrixed organizations.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and shaping enterprise-level decisions.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale, cross-functional programs with complex technical interdependencies.
• Deep understanding of engineering practices, platform architecture, system dependencies, APIs, cloud technologies, and capacity modeling.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technical implications and technical constraints into actionable executive insights.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguity, synthesize complexity, and bring structure to fast-evolving workstreams.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, with comfort navigating data, technical details, and strategic frameworks.
• A track record of influencing without authority and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Success in This Role Looks Like:
• Strategic Decision Amplification – enabling executives to make better, faster decisions through clear tradeoff frameworks, integrated reporting, and data-driven insights.
• Enterprise Alignment – creating consistent understanding and communication of priorities across Strategy, Product, and Engineering, reducing churn and increasing focus.
• Technical Fluency in Action – identifying architectural constraints, capacity considerations, and platform dependencies early enough to influence prioritization.
• Narrative Excellence – delivering succinct, executive-ready communication that elevates value, risks, and required decisions.
• Cross-Functional Influence – building trusted partnerships across segments and functions, fostering shared ownership of enterprise outcomes.
• Operational Rigor – standing up repeatable, scalable ways of working for Top 6 prioritization, reporting, and decision-making.
• Servant Leadership – operating with humility, transparency, and a commitment to enabling teams to execute with clarity and confidence.

Role Purpose
This position requires a systems thinker who can seamlessly bridge strategy, technical architecture, and product value.
