Position Summary...

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager to join the Marketplace Payments team. In this role, you will be a key part of the Payments and Financial Strategy group, responsible for driving global payment strategies, strengthening financial risk management through advanced payment controls, and enhancing the end-to-end seller payout experience. This high-impact position requires strategic thinking, advanced analytics, and product insights to improve payout accuracy, increase transparency, elevate seller satisfaction, and drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Tech, Seller Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.

What you'll do...

• Drive the design and optimization of advanced payment controls (e.g., Pay on Delivery, Reserve Advancements, Rolling Payout Schedules) to manage financial risk while ensuring seamless seller experience.
• Develop analytical frameworks and insights that identify payment risk trends, define payout strategies, and improve cash-flow predictability for sellers.
• Drive the creation and enhancement of self-serve, on-demand payment dashboards that give sellers real-time visibility into settlements, reserves, fees, and payment timelines.
• Partner with Product, Tech, and UX teams to translate insights into scalable product features that reduce friction and improve payout transparency.
• Support Global Seller Experience efforts by aligning payout policies, strategies, financial controls, and standards across international marketplaces to maintain parity with the U.S. marketplace.
• Accelerate automation of payment workflows and controls, streamlining payment reconciliation, settlements. Improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enable scalable support for high-growth seller segments and new service launches
• Define and monitor key performance metrics for payout accuracy, loss exposure, and seller satisfaction, providing executive-level reporting and recommendations.
• Partner with the Operations and Business teams to drive operational excellence across the organization, creating systems and processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and a positive culture

Qualifications  

• Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required and 3+ years of progressive experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services or similar space
• Advanced understanding of SQL with hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.
• Exceptional analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with a proven track record of using data-driven insights to influence strategic business decisions and deliver measurable results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, seller payments and financial ecosystems is a plus.
• Understanding risk management and fraud prevention in payments is an advantage.

Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
