Position Summary...

The Platform Stability team ensures a reliable, high-quality experience for all Spark Driver app users. We proactively detect, triage, and resolve app defects across the full driver workflow, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, QA, and Operations. Our governance framework reduces critical risks, strengthens release quality, and protects driver trust. If you excel in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and enjoy leveraging AI-powered tools to improve app quality, this role is an ideal fit.

What you'll do...

  • Detect & Investigate App Defects: Monitor alerts, telemetry, and user feedback to identify, validate, and triage defects. Document findings and communicate severity and impact to technical stakeholders.
  • Support Pre-Release Quality: Participate in testing cycles, confirm that high-priority issues are resolved, and ensure releases meet readiness and sign-off requirements.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Issue Resolution: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to provide detailed context, reproducible examples, and clear escalation paths to speed up root-cause resolution.
  • Use AI Tools to Increase Efficiency: Apply platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other automation solutions to summarize defect patterns, streamline communication, and accelerate log and telemetry analysis.
  • Maintain Operational & Jira Hygiene: Create and update defect tickets with clarity and completeness. Promote best practices and support team members in maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Report & Communicate: Produce summaries of defect trends, risks, and progress. Deliver clear, actionable updates to leadership using AI-assisted reporting methods.
  • Review Features & Assess Launch Risks: Participate in feature reviews, identify operational or stability risks, and ensure new features launch with the right safeguards in place.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 4+ years in platform operations, product operations, QA/UAT coordination, mobile app release management, or consumer technology support.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret structured and unstructured signals including logs, dashboards, telemetry, and user-reported issues.
  • Tools Knowledge: Hands-on experience with defect management workflows and tools (e.g., Jira, AirTable, TechPod) and comfort using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical symptoms into clear operational insights for senior audiences.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence Engineering, Product, and Support teams.
  • Technical Understanding: Knowledge of mobile app behavior across iOS and Android, feature flag systems, and release and rollout cycles—ideally within gig, delivery, logistics, or mobility platforms.
