The role is based in Seymour, IN, and is expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
What you'll do...
- Process Flow Design: Interpret information to quantify the anticipate outcome of supply chain decisions
- Operational Excellence: Explain operational functions and key functional roles, clarify the role of each department or unit, and describe the interdependence of support functions
- Engineering Economics: Describe the concepts behind engineering economics and implications of financial data, understand cost drivers, identify major types of financial data utilized by the organization, and explain how it is assessed and used in engineering
- Project Management: Plan and estimate simple projects under guidance and produce standard project status reports, obtain information from stakeholders during the planning process, and assist in detailed project plans – including costs, schedules, and resource requirements
- Vendor Management: Manage site installation, manage project budgets (incl. managing POs), ensure site safety standards are upheld, and manage schedule to ensure all milestones are achieved.
- Continuous Improvement: Define the critical workflow for executing key processes, identify process problems that limit performance, focus on the most significant problems, and surface significant problems to maximize efficiency gains; includes implementation of Continuous Improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
- Automation System Design: Promote the usage of automation machineries, participate in implementation and training, conduct cost-benefit analyses of machineries, and monitor actual versus planned
- Automation Integration: Combine knowledge of automation/system design and learning from previous implementations into a road map, guiding in resolving integration issues and proposing alternatives to a system or technology integration initiative
- Mechatronics: Create views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions, create perspective drawings and orthogonal views, use design and visualization for basic drafting, and participate in projects that modify existing electrical systems, equipment, and components
- Data and Digital Literacy: Leverage data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data, develop and test hypotheses, and use data to influence strategic work
- Advanced Analytics: Apply data analysis and data modeling techniques to establish, modify, and maintain data structures and associated components and apply specific computing languages and tools in machine learning (R, Python, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence, establish credibility, and respond effectively to stakeholder needs
- Demonstrated business acumen and ownership of project activities, including defining vision and strategies for automation technologies and building business cases
- Experience leading the design, development, and implementation of large-scale automation technologies (including MHE, robotics, vision systems, machine learning, and packaging equipment) from concept through production across brownfield and greenfield sites
- Proven ability to drive operational efficiencies, OEE, and productivity by implementing best practices and innovative automation solutions in Ambient Automation
- Technical expertise in Controls Automation, including Robotics, AR/VR, and the full lifecycle from design to commissioning
- Skilled at managing high-visibility supplier relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality products quickly
- Driven by ambiguity and continuous improvement, with a passion for developing and deploying impactful automation methods and systems
- Experience in engineering, construction, or automation design/implementation; experience in supply chain fulfillment, distribution ASRS systems, or e-commerce process flow is a bonus

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
