The Central Merchandise FP&A Forecasting team partners closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain Finance, SBU Merchandise Finance, Segment Finance, and Accounting to deliver on Walmart U.S.’s financial objectives. We are a collaborative, data-driven group that provides critical financial guidance and analysis to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning. As a key member of this team, you’ll help ensure financial discipline, drive continuous improvement, and support Walmart’s mission to help customers save money and live better.
What you'll do...
- Lead and execute forecasting activities for Walmart U.S., consolidating and analyzing financial projections across all fulfillment channels.
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the SVP of Merchandise Finance, preparing robust financial analysis, scenario modeling, and recommending financial targets.
- Develop and present financial results, business performance metrics, and actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Conduct variance analysis, investigate business drivers, and provide clear recommendations to address risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives.
- Leverage digital tools and channels to enhance FP&A processes, reporting, and insights.
- Support community outreach and sustainability initiatives as part of Walmart’s broader mission.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance (or 6+ years relevant experience); MBA highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in strategic FP&A, with a focus on long-term planning, forecasting, and analysis in a large-scale, complex environment.
- Proven experience leading and completing cross-functional projects, ideally within a Fortune 100 finance organization.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize insights from various sources and drive business performance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex insights to senior leadership and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence without authority, aligning cross-functional teams around common goals.
- High attention to detail, organizational discipline, and a sense of ownership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
