The 10X team is an elite group of Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Full Stack technologists united by a single mission: creating scalable, data-driven solutions that redefine what’s possible for Walmart. By working across domains and functions, 10X delivers  AI agents, applied AI products, and core engineering capabilities at true enterprise scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Guide and mentor, a team of engineers, conducting code reviews and leading design discussions to ensure engineering best practices.

  • Drive the adoption of coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of our technical architecture, aligning it with business goals and scalability requirements.

  • Architect complex software systems (data/backend), ensuring performance, security, and scalability needs are met.

  • Software Craftsmanship: Consistently produce high-quality software with a focus on unit testing, regular code reviews, and continuous integration.

  • Uphold high standards in quality and operational excellence.

  • Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation and presentations to clearly communicate architectural decisions and design options. Ensure documentation aligns with project scopes, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Engineering Advocacy: Promote and enforce technical standards across the organization to achieve concrete outcomes and drive engineering excellence.

  • Foster a culture of learning and innovation through hands-on technical guidance and mentorship.

  • Project Leadership: Lead the discovery phase of major projects, ensuring the design aligns with business goals and technical requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes and milestones.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX/UI, Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Innovation and Research: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, conducting research to identify emerging tools and methodologies.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R;D divisions or AI-First startups

  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.

  • 9- 10 years of experience in building UI applications ( Fullstack )

  • Proficient in ReactJs/Redux, javascript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, JSON

  • Hands-on design ; development experience in interfacing with Web services platforms

  • 7+ of years hands-on experience building full stack applications using - Java/Python , Microservices

  • Well versed in TDD,BDD methodologies and the enabling tools and technologies - JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, CI/CD etc.

  • Practioner of Agile methodologies and DevOps

  • CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins

  • Experience with performance testing tools e.g. Jmeter, LoadRunner etc .

  • Experience with Architectural patterns for High Availability, performance,

  • Scale our Architecture, Disaster Recovery, Security Architecture.

  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.

  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies.

  • Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

  • Must be a proven performer and team player who enjoys challenging assignment with high enery in fast growing environment.

  • Strong engineering mindset who can drive design and development of automated monitoring, alerting and self-healing system

Additional Qualifications:

  • Exposure to cloud infrastructures, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP,

  • Experience with mobile (web/native) development

  • Exposure to full stack development

  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
