Who We Are

Walmart Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) is a rotational 24-month, early-career development program, designed to launch the careers of young business professionals at the Fortune One company. You can gain access to this program through the successful completion of our internship (a year prior to graduation), or be accepted directly into the full-time program (post-graduation).

We are searching for exceptional leader-potential students to participate in this exclusive two-year program. Through a hands-on experience, you will learn how to navigate and own projects and critical business activities in a dynamic team environment. During the program, you'll encounter our culture-in-action by participating in key corporate functions and other events with Walmart associates from around the world.

What We're Looking For

More important than the focus of your study is the enthusiasm you bring to the role. You must demonstrate the ability to grasp concepts quickly and make your presence felt. Intellectual curiosity is essential, as you embark upon your rotations you should be a student-of-the-retail-business, while adding value to your team. Your style must be forward and persuasive as you are asked to solve problems with a high degree of complexity. Throughout the rotations, you will be evaluated based on your performance across five metrics: Critical Thinking, Analytical Ability, Interaction/Communication, Leadership and Potential. The Skillset

  • Pursuing a BS/BA in Accounting, Finance,
    Economics, Business, Strategy or other
    quantitative/technical field
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commu-
    nication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual
    curiosity and the ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • GPA Requirement: 3.0+
