Walmart and Sam's Club expect to hire 100,000 veterans by 2018. Were you honorably discharged no more than 12 months ago?
As one of the biggest transportation operations and largest private fleets in the world, Walmart drivers deliver more than products to our stores. They are the lifeline of our operations and the means by which our Every Day Low Prices reach our customers and communities. They are responsible for ensuring that our mission gets carried out as intended. And they put a human handprint on every operation while reducing our carbon footprint. In fact, our Private Fleet of 7,400 drivers, 6,500 tractors and 55,000 trailers traveled approximately 700 million miles last year, and did it as one of America’s safest fleets. At Walmart and Sam’s Club, our drivers are our ambassadors.

The following are the minimum qualifications for Walmart drivers:
With one of the largest private trucking fleets in the world, we have a responsibility to protect the environment. Our goal is to make our fleet 100% more energy efficient by 2015. This includes keeping 26 billion pounds of carbon dioxide out of the air between now and 2020.
Our new-generation trucks contribute to cleaner air in our communities, big cost-savings for our customers and industry-wide innovations in truck design. Our latest partnerships have resulted in a truck designed with forward-thinking aerodynamics, transmissions, tires, a high-efficiency auxiliary power unit and emissions controls.

When our drivers reach three million Walmart safe miles, they receive a specially designed “Walmart Metallic Blue” tractor with custom features – and we all celebrate!
Warren Greeno holds the record for driving 3.9 million consecutive safe miles, the most of any Walmart driver in our history.
